Dom Dolla continues to conquer the beginning of his North American Tour with a two-round show at the NOVO in Los Angeles on October 15th & 16th. The show launched with a tech-house set courtesy of BONES, followed by Torren Foot’s dynamic warm-up with some unexpected remixes. It didn’t take long for agitated fans to demand their idol from “Down Under” and before an hour had passed, Dom Dolla took the stage.

Dom Dolla Sets Los Angeles on Fire
Discerning listeners are well-familiar with Dom Dolla’s music; his live show, however, is an entirely different experience. Firstly and most importantly, he constantly interacts with the audience by speaking, waving, and dancing along with the crowd. Which by the way, the way he dances deserves a separate paragraph – his wholly-embedded-in-the-music moves cannot but captivate the audience.
Secondly, Dolla oozes pure energy – you can see it on stage and feel it from a distance. His vigor is catchy, the vibe is filling, and the result is a totally immersive sound in which listeners find genuine joy. Vibrant and flashy, the artist stays humble, amiable, and approachable for his fans. His performance keeps every member of the audience engaged.
Dom Dolla’s New Sound
Classic Dolla’s sound is familiar to most of us, but the artist delighted fans with some surprises along the way. Besides tech-house, Dom Dolla performed some high-energy psytrance-influenced techno and progressive-style house that helped create the surround-sound encompassing feel of the show.
The piece de resistance was drum and bass set, which he left until the very end, thus ensuring that already charged fans would have an unforgettable rest of the night. Moreover, during the show, the DJ presents his forthcoming single set to release by the end of the tour on November 12th.
San Frandisco Approved
Some diehard Dolla fans made the trip down from San Francisco, although a Bay Area show was just around the corner. Dolla junkies can’t get enough of the Aussie and had to see for themselves that the disco was appropriately done in LA. On this count, they had no cause for worry – Dolla, wherever he is, always serves up top-notch disco.
“I’ve been listening to Dom Dolla since the very beginning and always attend his shows when I have a chance.”

The show was, in two words- on fire. Sound, light, organization, ethos, and visuals were simply the best. Dom Dolla has shown why he is a star of the current EDM scene and will certainly be for some time to come. Dom Dolla’s weekend in LA has passed, but the tour is far from over. If you didn’t get your ticket yet – there’s no time to waste. The show is fire and LA approved as of this past weekend.
