Last week UK electronic artist DNMO released his remix for Louis the Child and Foster The People’s new song, “Every Color.” Ever since DNMO blew up in the EDM scene in 2016 he has been an artist to keep tabs on.
Louis The Childs original mix with Foster the People brings back the indie melodies we’ve missed from Foster The People since Pumped Up kicks and Sit Next to Me. This song combines the Indie and EDM genres of music into the newest feel-good anthem of the summer.
This collaboration between genres is something that we have seen in the past. Undoubtedly, this collision of genres is a trend we can continue to expect and enjoy in the future. Louis the Child has been dominating the EDM scene for years. They’ve recently been on a wave of releasing new music, and even their first short film titled, Garden of the Angels. This short film documents the group’s show at Red Rocks in 2019.
DNMOs mix puts a new spin on this upbeat track with a deeper beat that makes you bounce your head. It magically mentally transports you back to the summer festival season of 2019. This new mix transforms the song’s genre. The house bassline and build-up that transitions into a mellow drop is a perfect match for Mark Foster’s smooth indie vocals. The remix of this song is the epitome of festival season and the good energy that comes along with it.

DNMOs music has been receiving more clout than ever before. This all came from his song “Broken” with Sub Urban going viral on Tik-Tok. His prior collaborations with popular artists like Zeds Dead and GG Magree on songs like “Save my Grave, and “Neck and Neck,” have also become major festival hits.
The festival season for 2020 may have been canceled. But, this new mix is bringing back the summer feels we all are currently missing. It will be exciting to see what else DNMO brings to the scene in the future.
