Our recent release of Local Legends has been very exciting for RMR. We’ve begun working with a number of upcoming local artists who frequently showcase their talents and abilities around the greater Seattle area. DJ Fame has been featured a couple times on our blog, sending over multiple mix tapes and remixes that all have been consistently filthy. His drive to succeed is unmatched by many of the other producers and DJs I have come across over the last few years. He constantly shoots me updates on the latest club night, show, or major concert that he’s performing on. I see more Instagram posts from this guy than anybody else I follow plus he actually happens to be filthy at scratching, live mixing, and producing original music. We’ve been following his moves for some time now and feel that he is primed to be one of the individuals that will continue to influence Seattle nightlife and become a local legend over the next 10-15 years.
This week we have his latest #FameFridays release featuring remixes of some incredible songs from Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Ginuwine, and Sam Smith. Fame does a great job of working his own style into these remixes. Even though I don’t like all of the song choices, he creates a version of each that I can not only deal with, but also enjoy! Out of the six tracks I personally will be jammin’ the Sam Smith – ‘Stay With Me’. For the ladies, Fame’s remix of Cake by Rihanna is definitely worth a twerk or two.
