The energy at the Knitting Factory in Spokane during Tuesday night’s Dirty Heads show was electric! Lines formed around the block as fans piled in to see the multi-genre band from Huntington Beach. Spirits were as high as I was as the occasional joint made its way to me which I would happily puff twice then pass it along. I spoke with people who came from as far away as Bellingham, a six-hour drive, to see their favorite band – on a school night! This really showed me how much their fans love them and they certainly didn’t disappoint anyone who came.
Dirty Heads At The Knitting Factory
The Hip Abduction, got the party started with their amazing percussive intro, shredding guitar solos and upbeat sound. Coming all the way from Florida, the band claimed that Spokane was the farthest show away from home that they have ever played. The crowd certainly showed their support as T.H.A. dove into their final number.
Dirty Heads lit up the stage with bright lights and memorable hits like “Lay Me Down,” “My Sweet Summer,” and “Vacation.” The audience sang along pretty much word for word to every song throughout the night, except for when Duddy B was spittin’ fire during his rap verses. Dirty Heads showed their vast diversity during their ninety-minute set, crossing over genres like pop, hip-hop, rock, and reggae. Overall, it was a night to remember!
Dirty Heads are performing their last two shows of their Spring Tour on May 16th & 17th in Oregon and Nevada before heading down to the “Cali Roots Festival” in Monterey, California.
