In 2020, Dior Worthy dropped SODA; A powerful album, full of the style and substance that makes him an artist worth paying attention to. One particular track, “Lighters”, encapsulates not only that album but also the conflict and transformation that so many of us have undergone during the last year.
The Gage Green-produced record features a lush, hypnotic instrumental, over which D. Worthy lays out all the unique trials and tribulations of the pandemic and how they relate to his upbringing. We’re excited to announce that Worthy has dropped a new video for “Lighters”, adding a whole new dimension to the poetic track.
Directed by Cam Browne, the video is a slick, stylish companion piece to the track. The video begins with an on-screen message: “A musical expression of the life and experiences lived by the artist known as Dior Worthy. In collaboration with Cam Browne, these themes are now placed onto the screen for you to enjoy”.
What follows is a striking and emotional visual journey that acts as a perfect enhancer for the record.
