It’s been over two years since the last Capitol Hill Block Party happened. We’ve finally reached a point within the pandemic where live music is possible again. Daydream State, the company responsible for CHBP, Neumos, Barboza, and Block Party Presents programming, has curated something special to close out the summer with- Day In Day Out Festival.
On September 4th and 5th, Day In Day Out Festival will take over the Fisher Green Pavilion at the Seattle Center. The lineup presents a unique mixtape-inspired experience featuring ten incredible artists, both homegrown talent and big names in the industry.
Rarely do I find myself excited by every single artist on a festival lineup, but Day In Day Out Festival honestly nailed their selections. Music has this special power to connect to your emotions and important moments in your life. This collection of artists all make cinematic music that will become the soundtrack for the memories made by every single person in attendance.

After spending, roughly, the past year and a half without live music, I’ll be embracing this festival experience whole-heartedly. No doubt, I can already foresee myself getting emotional. It’s going to be the ultimate form of therapy that I highly recommend everybody to seek out.
The Day In Day Out Experience
Gates will open at 2pm and the festival will run until 10pm. In order to enter the festival, you’ll need your COVID vaccination card or a negative COVID test acquired within 48 hours prior to the festival. Once you are in the grounds, there will be the all ages section in front of the stage. Food and sponsors will be located off to the sides and the 21 and over beer garden will be towards the back of the grounds.
One of the biggest excitements for me, is the fact that Dirty Dog is going to be serving up classic Seattle Dogs during the festival AND they will have gluten-free buns on deck! As a person with Celiac disease, I am always disappointed at festivals because I’m never able to eat anything. Day In Day Out Festival is looking out for everybody with a wide range of food options and beverages.
Along with Dirty Dog, other options for food will include; The Original Philly’s, Truly Med, Big Boys, Just Poké, and the Fishbox. Full Tilt and Blue Bunny will be bringing ice cream. As well, Ice on Mars will be selling intergalactic frozen confectioneries (aka popsicles) off of a tricycle known as the Starcruiser.
The Day In Day Out VIP Experience
If you are over 21, you can become a VIP and experience the festival with an elevated sense of comfort and convenience. The Alaska Airlines VIP lounge has its own private entrance on the south end of the grounds. A shaded lounge area and private bathrooms are big perks to the VIP experience. Along with the catering and three free drink tickets per day. Unique features like the Disco Nap art installation, AirScream karaoke trailer, and life-size Jenga and Corn Hole will keep you occupied in between sets. When you’re ready to show off your VIP status, snap a selfie at the Hello There You station. Make sure you’re rocking some festival merch that you got at 10% off too, because you’re cool like that.
Day In Day Out Ticket Prices
You can buy either 2-day tickets or single day tickets for either day, and either of those can be purchased as general admission or VIP. There’s even a special option called, The Big Gulp, where you can buy tickets to both Day In Day Out, as well as, Capitol Hill Block Party 2022. When you get to the festival, you will exchange your ticket for a wristband that will allow you to leave and re-enter again. No matter what kind of ticket you have you will only get one wristband for the entire weekend, so make sure you keep that baby on tight!
