In June, Damian Marley and his company Stony Hill Corp. teamed with Adam Levine, head of Oreva Capital to purchase the majority share of the most well known cannabis publication in the world, High Times. Marley just released his first studio album in over a decade that shares the name of his company, “Stony Hill,” per The Register-Guard.
Stony Hill has a special meaning for Marley, it reflects his suburban upbringing that was paved by his fathers hard upbringing in an under privileged neighborhood, per the Daily Marijuana Observer. Marley wants to continue making business moves within the cannabis industry to give back to the plant that has given him and his family so much.
Marley aims to diversify into the CBD and hemp industries and tackle “select investment, branding, real estate, and partnership opportunities in the recreational, health and wellness, nutraceutical, and media industries,” per the Stony Hill Corp. website.
