Curren$y is back with a new music video for his song “Must Admit.” For years, he’s established himself as one of the most hard-working rappers in the game. After dropping over 50 mixtapes and having an established catalog of projects and singles, he continues to demonstrate is dominance in hip-hop.
The music video “Must Admit” is built around his flex as he’s seen getting a haircut, to rapping on top of a skyscraper surrounded by women. The video is shot and edited by Yuset Pozo. While the scenes and various cuts are rather simple, it plays well with the sonic landscape that the song brings to the table.
Curren$y showcases a flow that fits perfectly with the instrumental underneath. His vocals are packed with memorable punchlines and mid-tempo rhyme schemes – which makes the song unique. With the instrumental, it’s driven by varying synth pads, a recorder and electric flute that’s most comparable to Tory Lanez’s song “Freaky.”
With this latest release, Curren$y goes in and does his thing. Whether someone has been a fan of his music for years or is discovering him for the first time, “Must Admit” is a song that demands a listen.
