The West Coast Weed Tour is all about finding the best of the best products. Because of this mindset, we pay attention to brands and products that separate themselves from the mainstream. One brand that goes beyond the standards set by other companies is THC Design with their high-potency Crescendo strain.
The Sativa-dominant hybrid is a cross between Chem Dawg, I-95, and Mandarin Cookies. The combination of these strains should leave behind strong flavors of diesel and earth from the Chem Dawg, along with hints of citrus from the Mandarin Cookies.
In this official review, Respect My Region’s @JoeyJayPing and budtender @Jazisaurus test the limits of the incredibly potent Crescendo flower.
First Impressions
The Crescendo comes housed in a glass jar with a branded design and purple accents. The window for viewing the bud is unlimited, a positive for consumers. However, with no light filtration, the plant may see some degradation over time if left on the shelf.
The THC Design label features the information that truly makes the Crescendo stand out: the levels of THC and total cannabinoids. At 38.36% active cannabinoids and 32.28% THC, this has got to be one of California’s most potent strains. Additionally, the label includes a completed terpene profile. From the information included, consumers know to expect flavors of spice, gas, earth, and citrus.
The Review
The initial smell of the bud brings aromas of pepper, earth, and sweetness. The Crescendo nugs are dense and covered in a blanket of sugary trichomes. After cracking the nugs open, a strong gassy smell dominates the other scents, leaving Joey and Jazi even more excited to smoke this strain.
The first hit brings a flavor to match the smell. Earth, spice, and gas combine to create a crescendo of flavor that matches the name. The first few hits are incredibly smooth, but as Joey and Jazi make their way through the joint, the high content of THC leaves a harsh burn through the smoke.
As far as the high, Jazi only needed to hit the joint twice before she felt the Crescendo’s intoxicating effects. By the end of the smoke session, both Joey and Jazi were thoroughly stoned. The relaxing high and overall experience led the two smokers to give this strain a high score of 9.25 out of 10.
