As winter comes to an end, the bright colors and feelings of Spring are on the horizon. With the changing seasons comes a new wave of cannabis products to reflect the light energy that the coming months have to offer. One product that gives us our first burst of Spring is the Cotton Candy Strain by The Marathon Cultivation.
The hybrid strain is made from a cross between Lavender and Power Plant. The combination should leave this strain with the light flavors of lavender and fruit.
In this official Taste Test Review, @JoeyJayPing and Justin from Medmen find out if the Cotton Candy strain has a flavor to match its name.
First Impressions
Although the vibrant blue packaging is missing key genetics information, the Taste Test is all about letting the weed speak for itself. Right off the bat, the Cotton Candy nugs are massive in size. Chunky, dark green bud gives off a strong smell of gas right after opening the package. In addition, loud Aromas of sweet candy and pungent gas filter through the room.
Taking a dry pull of the bud, Justin and Joey get an electric burst of flavor. The dry inhale brings the taste of fruit. On the exhale, you can the taste the lavender from the strain’s parent.
Joey compares the Cotton Candy’s delicious flavor to a purple Mountain Dew slushie.
The Smoke Session
The initial flavors from the dry hit shine through once the weed is sparked. The Cotton Candy leaves Joey with a high felt up through his head and the back of the neck. Justin experiences a sedative body high.
Both Joey and Justin’s experience with this Marathon Cultivation strain was exceptional.
In conclusion, the flavors in the Cotton Candy left the two cannabis connoisseurs feeling like this was one of the better strains they have tried. Justin, who consistently keeps his scores below an 8 out of 10, left the Cotton Candy with a total score of 9.5.
