Throughout the years Portland rapper, Cool Nutz, has collaborated with some well known heavy hitters in the game. One frequent collaborator and tour mate is the Bay Area’s own E-40. In true Cool Nutz fashion, the rapper enlisted E-40 and fellow PDX emcee, rising artist Drae Steves, for the new single, “Believe It.”
The four-minute long track features all three artists rapping about the finer things in life and the belief that you can get it. A smooth yet forceful chorus from Drae Steves sets the tone for this summertime joint. The track was produced by 3rd Eye.
You can’t have a Portland hip-hop conversation without mentioning Cool Nutz. It is literally impossible. He has dropped music consistently, helped new artists emerge, and created The Portland Hip-Hop Festival dubbed PoHop. For about three decades now, the man called Cool Nutz has been the ambassador for all things hip-hop in the PDX.
