Conway the Machine has been forced to put his Won’t He Do It tour on hold after fracturing his leg. As of now, the trek has been postponed with no further details regarding when the New York MC will pick it back up.
The first show was scheduled to take place on May 26 in Chicago, but the rapper took to social media yesterday to let his fans know that it would be a little while longer before they got to see him live. In an Instagram post from May 22, Conway wrote the following: “I have a Fractured right tibia, dislocated kneecap, ANNNNND the album of the year tho!”
He continued: “But in all seriousness tho, anyone that knows me knows there’s nothing I love to do more than bein up on that stage! I can’t lie I’m super disappointed that I have to postpone the WHDI tour for a little bit, because I was really looking forward to goin on those stages and rocking this WHDI shit for y’all live. However, I am in good spirits and I’m only looking at it as just a minor lil setback for a MAJOR COMEBACK! No stress!!”
Fortunately, Conway clearly stated that the tour has been postponed and not cancelled. Last year, however, he did abruptly call off his I’ll Tell You Later tour without much detail. This time the Griselda rapper is expected to hit the road again upon recovery and honor his commitment.
The Won’t He Do It tour is in support of his recent album of the same name that dropped earlier this month. With features from Westside Gunn, Benny the Butcher, Juicy J and Dave East, the LP left a mark immediately upon its release.
