Cmak has been no stranger to the independent music grind. He’s been performing on stages of all sizes all over the state of Washington as a solo artist and founding member of The Northwest Fresh. Last year, he struck up a partnership as a signed artist to The Orchard/Sony and later expanded his deal to help distribute other local artists. The first opportunity to do so is now here with the City To City Compilation Vol. 1 project.
Alongside Jimi Spendrix, CJ Thomas, Cameron Spence and Flame, Cmak and the Northwest Fresh have rocked major stages and worked with a sleau of recreational cannabis brands. Cmak’s first solo video “Whoa” (sponsored by Lucid Cannabis and Lyon Pride Music) stole the attention of Thizzler and Lil Boosie’s personal FB page. The most meaningful reach it connected was to A&R Sin Crawford who helped cultivate a deal for the Northwest Fresh artist. That deal has now transpired into an opportunity for Cmak to help provide distribution for other indie artists and help them monetize their brand.
At the release of their first compilation, W.A.E. Gang ENT has signed 10 artists and is currently seeking more hungry rappers to work with. W.A.E. stands for “We all eat” and they’re clearly living up to that purpose. Listen to City to City Compilation Vol. 1 below and crank the volume.
