Chase Henny Pours Out His Soul On “Poppin” Featuring Ellis Prescott

Chase Henny taps the young and talented Ellis Prescott for his smooth vibe track “Poppin.” Giving us those old school R&B feels, the track opens with an answering machine. Which sets the tone for this yearnful melody. The bass kicks in sending you into a downward spiral of emotions that has you thinking about that one person that just simply does it better. Usually, the term “poppin” is saved for when you’re about to go out with the crew and party. But here, it simply means that we are better together and can really make some shit happen.

A straight vibe, this is one of those late-night drives smoke a blunt and think type songs. Catch me in my feels and you may hear me singing this track to the top of my lungs. This track brings me back to Nothing Was The Same. The 2013 release by Drake, which recently celebrated its 6th year anniversary (September 24).

The track has those similar elements. The droned out bass and high energy vocals make the track suitable whether you have a special someone in mind… or just loss that special someone. Hopefully, we are all going into the cold weather season with someone to keep us warm and if not, better buy a sweater.
