Seattle favorite Chase Henny has been quiet for some time now but has been staying plenty busy helping other artists grow while he dwelled in the shadows. Now, he’s ready for his time back in the spotlight with latest wavey single “No Feelings” featuring Jay Park.
I last wrote about Chase Henny on his 2019 track “Poppin,” a slower-paced vibe I equated to Drake’s Nothing Was The Same. “No Feelings” is on a similar tip in terms of vibe and emotional tie-ins, but has a higher sense of energy to it. The story in “No Feelings” is more relatable to a struggling relationship, expressing more of that raw emotion that comes from someone not loving you back, or vice-versa.

The beat for “No Feelings” is commanded by a sultry guitar riff that walks the melancholy line of happy/sad. It’s Chase and Jay’s unforgiving vocals that make this track what it is. One can only assume that they are speaking from past experiences with every bar hitting you right in the feels.
