Eli Dyer is Brotha Nature. He’s MC rooted in the Pacific Northwest but just recently broke new ground in Denver, Colorado. Brotha Nature has a wide range of musical genres and he draws inspiration from beatboxing, hip-hop, jazz, electronic, and funk. His latest single “Liftoff” is a testament to Nature’s knowledge of the hip-hop craft.
Lately, Nature has been working on his production and recording skills which is bringing an entirely new skill set and creative flow to the surface. “Liftoff” showcases a flow that instantly reminds me of Del The Funky Homosapien — instantly taking me back to the lyrically driven hip-hop of the ’90s.
The visuals only enhance the witty wordplay and relentless bars of the track. Brotha teamed up with Wes Marvin of Hypertuna Productions to create a simple yet memorable music video. Brotha Nature created a nostalgic anthem that makes you want to dust off the Hieroglyphics records ASAP.
Nature has played all over the Pacific Northwest and just finished an entire Midwest tour last year. Since COVID hit, he and his team have been putting a lot more effort into digital real estate and content production and the “Liftoff” visuals are just the start of that.
