Meanwhile, The Alchemist provides a unique collection of beats and textures to compliment the Detroit MC’s style.
Boldy James and The Alchemist: Two Hip Hop Veterans with History to Back it Up
To understand this record, it is important to understand the foundation of the duo’s relationship. The Alchemist and Boldy James first met at South by Southwest, a music festival in Austin, Texas. It turns out Boldy James was at the festival trying to lay low after an altercation that left the other guy with five less teeth. Nonetheless, his loss ended up as James’ gain. Once The Alchemist and Boldy James linked up, the duo began creating moody, brutally honest rap music.
Boldly James is a proud member of the Griselda collective. This crew delivers lyrically dense music which is often labeled as cocaine rap. Joined by Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher, Griselda is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Bo Jackson joins a list of other Griselda records known for their consistency and truth.
The Alchemist is a certified hip hop veteran. With production credits ranging from Action Bronson to Freddie Gibbs, this producer needs no introduction.
