TYuS - Silhouette

TYuS – Silhouette (New HEAT from Portland)

Portland’ian and frequent Cassow collaborator, TYuS, drops a new track with ‘Silhouette.’ A very Weekend-PartyNextDoor type of artist, TYuS lets some smooth melodies go over some trippy production. I’ve been following dude a little over the past few months and everything I have heard has been pretty dope. High quality production and unlike anything else up here in the great Northwest.

Vote for the 10th 2015 XXL Freshman!

XXL has adopted a fan vote for the 10th XXL Freshman spot the past few years. I believe Iggy Azalea, Dizzy Wright, and Jarren Benton have been the past honors. This year the list is long and filled with some note worthy artists (and a few that have me thinking I should check NahRight more!). On first glance I have four artists in mind that I would potentially vote for the 10th 2015 XXL Freshman spot.

Kendrick Lamar Releases ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’

The hype started when Kendricks album was uploaded to iTunes with an all black cover and unnamed tracks a few weeks ago with a March 23rd release date. Then a few weeks later Rolling Stones dropped an article with a little more information and the correct title/cover. So the ‘surprise’ element has been slowly building throughout this process, but is the week early release (and a day after Tupac’s Me Against The World 20th anniversary) planned or not?

Lucky 2015

Who else got Lucky last Friday?!

I can’t write this article right now. My brain is too stupid and my body is too weak from the shenanigans at Lucky 2015. Instead, I am just going to do a series of shout outs to the people who made this weekend a memorable one. Here we go:

Shout out to Brillz who I apparently I walked past several times before gates opened but was too distracted to notice upon being notified that I would miss his entire set because my volunteer shift started at the same time. Ironic, no?

Shout out to the awesome WaMu Staff Pro people at the bass stage. I don’t remember any of your names but I will always remember you as the dopest crowd management staff WaMu has ever had. I even got one of you to go ham during Sound Remedy’s set.
