To me, there is something special about cannabis with Afghani heritage. Once I joined the cannabis industry and started learning about cannabis genetics, I started noticing many of my favorite indica’s like Northern Lights #5 have Afghani roots. Afghanistan is believed to have produced some of the earliest cannabis strains, and when I smoke marijuana with Afghani genetics, it feels like I’m inhaling a piece of history. TreeHawk Farms ‘Black Afghan strain lives up to the hype.
The Black Afghan strain has dark green flower with bright orange hairs that jump off the flower. Ripping open the one gram bag, the first scent that hit my nose was spicy earth, like if you were seasoning fresh garden soil for some kind of food dish. The second smell and an unmistakably pungent grape or berry terpene profile hit my nose.
The smoke was so smooth. I could smoke an entire bowl and not even feel the smoke tickle my throat, and then you exhale enough smoke to block the T.V. The taste was earthy with hints of grape juice when you lick your lips in between bowls.
The Black Afghan strain is a straight creeper. The high kept hitting me in steadily increasing waves for about an hour before the peak subsided. This strain calmed my mind instantly and I highly recommend this for anti-anxiety or calming down after a stressful day.
