West Coast Weed Tour 2020: The Best Weed-Infused Beverages In CA

Respect My Region’s third annual West Coast Weed Tour has reached the finish. The amount of products we were able to review this year is astounding. Within the state of California, we got our hands on a number of the best cannabis-infused beverages that were well worth writing home about.

Cannabis-infused beverages are some of the newer and exciting cannabis products hitting shelves in California currently, so many companies are setting the standard for what translates to quality.

From sparkling waters to non-alcoholic wine and even horchata, companies are getting wildly creative with the beverages they’re choosing to infuse with cannabis or CBD.

Here are our best cannabis-infused beverages and CBD drinks in California for the category of infused beverage.

Best Cannabis-Infused Beverages In California (CBD Included)

Habit – Cannabis-Infused Sparkling Peach Cooler 97.5

One of the best cannabis-infused beverages in California is Habit’s Sparkling Peach Cooler. This infused soda is brimming with delicious peach flavor and a subtle cannabis taste. You can barely tell it’s infused with 100mg of ultra-refined shatter oil. It even comes with a plastic shot glass if you want to measure your doses.

Nectr – Watermelon Sparkling Water 96.25

Nectr is doing something special with their session style cannabis-infused sparkling waters. The Watermelon flavor was of notable merit to us because it tastes delicious and wasn’t too sweet or artificial tasting. This is definitely the type of beverage that could serve as an alternative to alcohol in a social setting. The brown bottles look incredibly similar to many session lagers. These session drinks only come with 5% alcohol in the true session spirit, as they’re not meant to send you over the edge, but something you can drink casually. Nectr is packed with 10MG of high quality THC and was crafted by one of the best beverage companies in California, Spacestation.

Matt’s High Sodas – Ice Tea Lemonade 95

Matt’s High Sodas definitely do not disappoint on potency with their 100mg THC-infused Ice Tea Lemonade. The flavor was delicious despite tasting the weed fairly prominently. Over ice the beverage became even better. Drinking it straight from the bottle still delivered the same stoney experience, but we prefer it chilled.

Le Chronique – Blueberry Lavender Sparkling Water 92

Le Chronique’s Blueberry Sparkling Water was the perfect blend of blueberry and lavender without being too overpowering. The sparkling water came with 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBD and left a very positive impression on us. We feel comfortable saying this may be one of the best tasting infused beverages in the state of California.

Rhythm – Grapefruit-Rosemary Seltzer 90

Rhythm has a line of CBD-infused seltzers that come in various flavors. The Grapefruit-Rosemary caught our attention with its addition of 50mg of caffeine to the 15mg of CBD they put in each flavor of their infused seltzers. The Grapefruit-Rosemary flavor had a pleasant and bright flavor that fit its “Awake” name on the can. Grapefruit took more of the spotlight in the flavor and the drink itself gave us a gentle boost of energy.

Stoneade – Joy Lemondrop 87.5

Stoneade took a bar classic, the Lemon Drop, and took out the alcohol and put in a solid dose of THC. Syrupy, sweet, and sour, Stoneade’s Joy Lemondrop was a fun and tasty experience. This might be the perfect boost to liven up your day. We didn’t try mixing it into a drink like a normal shot of alcohol, but this might be another great option for enjoying this inventive product.

Rhythm – Blackberry Lavender Seltzer 89

Rhythm’s Blackberry Lavender Seltzer is another creative infused beverage that features 15mg of CBD and 5mg of melatonin. This “Dream” drink was floral and berry tasting and lent to a relaxing feeling. The lavender flavor in the beverage also added to the relaxing experience. We found this to be a nice beverage to have with dinner to help wind down. It also comes with low calories and zero sugar which make it that much friendlier to your body.

Major/Sorse – Volcanic Orange Mango 86

Produced by Spacestation for the Major product line that comes from SORSE, the Volcanic Orange Mango beverage packs a punch. This cannabis-infused fruit drink had decent flavor, albeit a strong taste of cannabis at 100mg of THC.

As seasoned cannabis consumers who are very familiar with SORSE technology, this higher potency beverage is something we definitely seek out for its noticeable effects. More casual consumers might not enjoy the prominent cannabis flavor as much. SORSE is definitely creating something the cannasseurs of California will keep seeking out.

Rebel Coast – Sauvage 2019 & Pink Passion 85

Rebel Coast has been setting the bar with their infused non-alcoholic wine beverages. Truly speaking to the average drinker, their 2019 Sauvage and Pink Passion wines had delightful bouquets. The flavor profiles of both made us second-guess whether there was any alcohol in it. Rebel Coasts products are perfect for those stepping away from alcohol but still want something to sip on at the end of the day that promotes relaxation.

Rebel Coast – Mixed Berry 85

In addition to killer non-alcoholic wines, Rebel Coast also has a line of infused seltzer waters that are full of flavor. We got our hands on their Mixed Berry Infused Seltzer and found it to taste strongly of berries. Hoping for a slightly more diverse flavor profile, we still felt like this infused beverage is something we’d come back to.

Nectr – Lime Sparkling Water 80

Nectr’s session-style infused cannabis beverages definitely impressed us on this year’s tour. Their Lime Sparkling Water had the perfect balance of lime and carbonation. It went down smooth and the brown bottle it came in would fit in perfectly at any normal social gathering. This is definitely a drink we’ll be coming back to for both the flavor, packaging, and mild effects.

Nectr – Orange Cream Sparkling Water 80

Nectr’s Orange Cream Sparkling Water also scored well during this tour. We felt like the orange cream flavor wasn’t as appropriate for the seltzer water experience, but the flavor was still there. We noticed there wasn’t any drastic dying done on the liquid to make it more orange, which we liked. The flavor had both orange and cream notes with a hint of tart citrus. Again, the subtle notes of cannabis in these beverages make them go down smooth.

LA Familia x Agua De Flor – Horchata 80

Possibly the most inventive infused beverage we encountered on this tour was LA Familia x Agua De Flor’s infused Horchata. Deliciously sweet, this beverage is perfect for those looking for a stoney twist on one of their favorite beverages. The flavor was on-point and had a cinnamon miliness to it that reminded us of classic horchatas. This is definitely a product worth looking into at least once.
