The Cure Company – Marathon OG
It wouldn’t be a West Coast Weed Tour without reviewing some of The Cure Company’s Marathon OG. This hallmark strain hand-picked by Nipsey himself has been a favorite of ours for years. We think it might take the crown for the best cut of OG you can find around the state of California. The strong lemon, pine, and earthy flavors made for a sedative and blissful high we will always come back to. Respect to The Cure Co for cultivating some of the best flower in California.

Fresh Baked’s Apple Fritter pre-roll was full of sweet and pastry-like flavors in tandem with notes of earthy cheese. The smoke was incredibly even throughout, and the terps came through from start to finish. Fresh Baked has been producing a number of eye-grabbing cannabis products and undoubtedly cultivates some of the best weed in California.
Rove – Hashbar OG
Rove is one of California’s most popular brands for vapes, pre-rolls, and branded merchandise. Rove’s Hashbar OG came budtender-recommended as one of their most potent products. The bright green packaging had two mini-infused pre-rolls in it that definitely didn’t disappoint. The initial hit gave off earthy spice and was very smooth overall. More complex citrus notes came with the following hits and a pleasantly lifting high.

One of the best cannabis-infused beverages in California is Habit’s Sparkling Peach Cooler. This infused soda is brimming with delicious peach flavor and a subtle cannabis taste. California’s S710NER brand caught our attention in a big way with their Super Lemon Haze diamond sugar. Known for their clean extractions and potent live resin diamonds, the packaging also lent a wealth of information. A QR code on the box led us right to in-depth testing results and terpene information. Peppery, citrus, and hoppy flavors took us to a memorable high with S710NER’s Super Lemon Haze sugar.

Bear Labs – Strawberry Zmoothie Live Resin
California’s Bear Labs brought out the big guns with their Strawberry Zmoothie Live Resin. These dabs were a beautiful mixture of white, cloudy, and clear. The nose was strong and gave off whiffs of creamy berries. One dab was all it took before a pleasantly strong high took over.
Vapes
STIIIZY – LIIIL Blue Dream Disposable
The RMR team doesn’t frequently buy disposable vape products, we lean more towards 510 threads and PAX Pods. That being said, this STIIIZY disposable really impressed us. The packaging on this half-gram disposable is neat and informative with STIIIZY’s classic “LA style” that has given them ample fame. This distillate was hitting at 88.7% total THC and represented the iconic Blue Dream strain properly with piney blueberry flavor. Their LIIIL battery surprisingly rips to the point that you might end up in a fit of coughing if you’re not careful with your tokes.
Kurvana – Dutch Treat (ASCND)
California’s Kurvana seriously caught our attention during this year’s West Coast Weed Tour. Kurvana features full-spectrum CO2 oil in their cartridges. On the box, you’re given a wealth of information about the vape product within. The terpene profile or “Kurvanascope” on the back of the box shows the complete screen summary. Looking at the box further, it notes the carts flavors as being pine, sweet, and citrus.
It lists its primary terpenes as terpinolene, myrcene, and ocimene—the perfect combo for such a well-known strain. The flavor did not disappoint and the potent distillate lent a favorable strain-specific high, invoking euphoric energy that puts a pep in our step. The box read “sweet pine following a citrusy aftertaste results in quick cerebral effects for relaxing the mind.” We found this to be an accurate statement.

LA Familia – Mazapan White Chocolate
LA Familia really knocked it out of the park with their White Chocolate Mazapans. Each chocolate was incredibly smooth and filled with creamy white chocolate flavor. Koko Nuggz – Runtz Chocolate
Koko Nuggz is a confectionary company that produces cocoa-covered cereal treats that look a lot like fat stinky nugs of weed. Cali Sweets creates these treats and operates under the umbrella of B-Real’s Dr. Green Thumb’s brand. They’ve recently been infusing some of these treats with cannabis to make them even sweeter. Koko Nuggz has done collaborations with both Berner and Scott Storch.
The Runtz chocolate was strong in flavor with a notable smell and has the interesting addition of glitter. The flavor was an enjoyable creamy blueberry that had an aftertaste of cannabis. We enjoyed the attention-grabbing packaging and overall presentation.
