The West Coast Weed Tour is all about finding the highest quality cannabis products. We pay attention to interesting ideas and exciting collaborations, especially with musicians or celebrities. Because of this mindset, our heads were immediately turned when we saw the Midnight Thorneberry strain by Bella Thorne and Glass House Farms.
The Midnight Thorneberry is an Indica-dominant cross between Devil’s Johnson and Hell’s Fire OG. This combination is unique to Bella’s line of products: Forbidden Flowers. The result of the two strains should offer a relaxing, stress-reducing high.
In this official review, Respect My Region’s @JoeyJayPing and @Jazisaurus tell us everything we need to know about the Midnight Thorneberry.
First Impressions
Joey and Jazi’s experience with the Glasshouse Farms flower Midnight Thorneberry comes from the pre-roll category. The most notable aspect upon looking at the joint is the color-coordinated packaging and paper.
The jar that houses the Midnight Thorneberry pre-roll has an ombre effect with deep shades of blue. Even more interesting the paper itself is blue with a silver tip. Jazi was immediately excited when she saw the cool looking color. The blue paper is a great choice for making the product stand out; Joey had never seen anything like it. However, this made it hard to gauge the color of the flower inside.
Two-Hit Review
The first hit of the Midnight Thorneberry is a dry one that brings a strong taste of blueberry. After lighting the joint, the paper turns turquoise when burned. The second hit reinforces the berry flavor, along with hints of citrus and pine. Joey describes the flavor as “a blueberry milkshake with pineapple extract”.
The smoke is extremely smooth, without a hint of harshness on the throat. The high should be in the body, and will probably leave the user feeling relaxed. This is an ideal product for a birthday celebration, or a night in with the girls.
Joey and Jazi both thoroughly enjoyed the Midnight Thorneberry, however, they could have used more information on the genetics and terpenes. Ultimately, the two smokers gave this strain a combined score of 8.5
