Cascadia Gardens has been producing fire out of Bellingham as long as I’ve been reviewing weed for the West Coast Weed Tour. This year I got my mitts on two of their strains and I’ve been impressed with both. The Purple Pie strain had one of the craziest aromas I’ve smelt recently and this Bear OG strain was a power OG cut that oozes Pacific Northwest kushy vibes.
Bear OG is a cross between Bear Creek and OG Kush. OG Kush is the perfect breeding partner for a little known cultivar like Bear Creek because it brings so much positive weight with its flavor and history. When people see “OG” behind a strain, it piques interest.
These flowers lacked any pungent smell right out of the jar. However, once they passed through my grinder my nostrils were filled with hints of lemon, earth, and pine. The flavor was different but just as robust — lost of earthy musky flavors.
The Bear OG strain truly shines through its potency. It hits like a heavy indica and brought so many relaxing and sedating vibes to my life. This strain settled in my brain and calmed me down almost instantly. This is the perfect weekend strain when you need chill out.
