It is really no surprise that USC Events booked another amazing lineup for Bass Academy 2017. In years past we’ve received skull-crushing lessons from the likes of Zomboy, Figure, Adventure Club, and this year is bigger and better than ever.
The Pacific Northwest is lucky not only for the big names like Excision and 12th Planet, but also for every single artist on the lineup. The Paradox Tour meets Bass Academy could be the heaviest bass lineup we’ve ever seen and the show is already sold out.
I’ve seen Excision on his tour every year since 2011, but the artist I’m really excited to see is Gentlemen’s Club. Formed in 2013, the trio of Coffi, Soloman and 50 Carrot has been breathing new life into the global dubstep and bass scene with edgy hip-hop and grime influenced bangers. They’ve blended their own unique low-end heavy styles into a treat for your ears.
In an interview from 2015, the group expressed that the track “New President” illustrated what they’re aiming for. They are easily the artists I’m the most excited to see, especially after their recent remix of Eptic & Must Die!’s “Ectoplasm”.

With Gentlemen’s Club and Dion Timmer warming things up before 3+ hours of b2b sets and Excision, do you really need more reasons to get to the Tacoma Dome early?
Bass Academy 2017 is almost in session, are you ready?
