B-Boy Fidget has come out the cuts demonstrating his musical versatility with his new single, “You Like What You See.” Verbally dancing over the hypnotic rhythm from producer Badman, the Seattle-based artist continues to go full force in 2019.
Fidget’s storied b-boy career is what introduced him to the scene, and his diverse set of talents have pushed him to the forefront of Seattle music. With this, the artist has been accompanying his music releases by hosting monthly Flat Top Friday events in the historic Dynasty Room. For more information, you can peep the Seattle artist’s Instagram.
In “You Like What You See” Fidget conveys a time tested story of love gone sour. He draws inspiration from a past relationship, the pain from it, and the resolve afterward. However, he and Badman introduce the stories and emotions in a brand new way.
Fidget displays all the anger, frustration, and sadness from these hard times. Instead of sulking on it he illustrates to listeners how to convert that energy into prosperity. The lasting message is to keep your head up and grind it out and Fidget conveys this through spitting on top of hard-hitting 808s.
The perseverance demonstrated throughout the song is represented through Fidget’s long lasting and ever transforming hip-hop career. For more information on his history and future, check out my RMR exclusive interview with him here.
2019 has been a year of growth and prosperity for Fidget. After numerous releases, events, and concerts, the Seattle artist continues to push the boundaries of the hip-hop game in the area.
