Astro Chronic from Cloud Cover Cannabis combines two of my favorite things in the name. Those two things are space and weed. Chronic has been a synonym for weed since at least the ’90s. Obviously, the term astro has ties to space. This cannabis strain might be potent enough to launch me into space, or at least get me part of the way there.
One of the hardest things about uniquely named cannabis strains is locating the genetics. That was the case with this strain. Even finding clues as to what the genetic makeup might be was complicated. There is a strain called Chronic that this might be crossed with. That is just speculation because there isn’t any supporting information available.
Astro Chronic has a sweet smell to it. My nose picks up a subtle hint of spice too. The combination of smells encourages the constant opening of the jar to enjoy the smell. The shade of green mirrors that shade of green that is commonly associated with cannabis. A thin layer of trichomes is laid across the top of the nug while sporadic almost brown pistils show up throughout the weed.
Astro Chronic is a calming strain. It doesn’t send you to outer space through a sense of anxiety or an overpowering high, it helps you to space out or unwind. An ideal evening strain for when you need to fall asleep.
