On the West Coast Weed Tour, our heads never fail to be turned by designer weed brands, and when those brands produce classic strains, there’s no stopping us from testing out the product. The Apple Fritters Strain by K Savage is one of those products that we absolutely just had to try.
With parent genetics Sour Apple and Animal Cookies, the flavors should be close to the two strains thanks to sweet, earthy aromas, along with a similar bud structure.
In this official review, Respect My Region’s Erin Lapsansky and Riley from @trippyhippiecannabis tell us everything we need to know about K Savage’s take on this classic Hybrid.
First Impressions
The first indication of “designer” level quality lies in the packaging. The Apple Fritters come housed in a sleek jar with black and gold embellishments. The top of the jar includes the strain information, and a large window in the makes the nug completely visible to the consumer. This visibility is key for customers, according to Riley.
The appearance of the bud is a little funky in structure but looks stunning. The dark stigmas and the blanket of trichomes are dense. The nug gives off the aroma of sweet pine. At 28% THC, the Apple Fritters would also qualify as cannabis that is higher potency.
One-Hit Review
Riley’s first hit has a dense layer of smoke, without a harsh burn. The piney smell comes through in the flavor, producing a crisp taste. As far as the high, Riley experienced a balanced feeling that was potent, but not overpowering.
Overall, Riley and Erin thoroughly enjoyed this product and would recommend it. The experience of smoking and the product appeal led Riley and Erin to give the Apple Fritters strain a score of 8.3 out of 10.
