Apollo 13 by Northwest Botanics is a mellow Sativa-Indica hybrid that does not create the traditional energized feeling form heavier Sativas. Despite the lack of energy this strain provided, it was perfect for a day filled with Disc Golf. With genetics taken from Jack Herer, you know that Apollo 13 will have the classic marijuana taste from the older strains.
When you open the bag, the smell from Apollo 13 isn’t overwhelming and does not blast you in the face like some of the more potent strains on the market. The lack of smell and sticky trichomes shouldn’t prevent you from picking up a bag though.
When loaded into a pipe this strain provides a nice mellow earthy flavor with a touch of sugar and smokes like a fresh bud that was cured properly and not rushed to a store shelf. It goes down smooth and does not induce a powerful cough like some drier products available. The high is a euphoric mood boosting high with a sudden jolt of energy, far from a couch locking Indica, while maintaining some of the valuable Indica characteristics. The nugs breakdown without sticking to your fingers. They aren’t dense and will not appear to expand when ground up for a blunt.
Apollo 13 – Northwest Botanics
A definite munchie and cottonmouth inducing strain, be sure you have your favorite snacks on hand. I would not recommend this for a post work smoke where you intend to relax, this strain provides the opposite effect. If you’re tight on cash, this budget Sativa, for a bit more than your Starbucks coffee, is a great route to go and should provide a great way to start your day.
