Anomaly Music Collective recently released their Tidal 001 project and it absolutely blew me away. Anomaly’s first release of the year is arguably the best electronic music project RMR has received since July 2016 (s/o Decent at Best) and features 8 tracks that legitimately slap.
The EP starts off with a futuristic hybrid drum n’ bass track called Air Raid which couldn’t have set the tone any better for the entire project. A fusion of every element that makes up bass music today, Tidal 001 includes tracks from 9 of the Pacific Northwest’s top-tier of electronic music producers.
Tidal 001 includes tracks from Eliminate, HAL-V & SpaceCase, SixFour, Kozmo & Muppet Punk, Safe Space, Reek, and last but not least, Qreepz. Flowing effortlessly from artist to artist, I’ve already found myself jamming out to the entire EP from start to finish multiple times. That my friends, is #RARE.
Anomaly Music Collective – Tidal 001
My favorite track on this project came from Kozmo & Muppet Punk because of the super west coast vibe. I can definitely here some of the grimiest bass artists dropping ‘Pacific Paper’ and can’t wait to hear it performed live when Kozmo performs at Lucky 2017’s bass stage. Keep your eyes peeled for a classic JayPing wiggle every time this song gets slapped.
