Oakland rapper ALLBLACK recently gave us his newest studio effort, TY4FWM, which came out earlier this month. The album is a celebration of his own dangerous hedonism filled with cautionary tales from the hood. With booming Bay-area production and A-list features, this album is full of anthemic rap classics that will get you turning up with the windows down.
On ALLBLACK’s TY4FWM, you’ll find a slew of some of your favorite West Coast emcees, producers, and out-of-state spitters. Features from Vince Staples, Drakeo the Ruler, Mozzy, G-Eazy, Sada Baby, DTB, Cole M.G.N., ShMartin, and Cal-A solidify the album. If you’re looking for straight bar delivery without any of the fluff, this is the record you’ve been looking for.
ALLBLACK
Many artists these days don’t fully embody the hardened street persona that they push in their music and on their social media pages. ALLBLACK comfortably talks his shit about street life and the consequences of messing with him and his people. You don’t question his validity for a second as he lets loose murderous bars about Bay-area life.
The track “War Stories” is a perfect personification of ALLBLACK’s residency in the streets. By teaming up with veteran Sacramento spitter Mozzy and hardened Detroit underground star Peezy, the track comes to life. You’d think this track would provide a slice of reality in a bleak world. Alternatively, it’s a group venting session about the dangers of being a young Black man in today’s society.
ALLBLACK undoubtedly drops bombs throughout the entirety of TY4FWM. Although there aren’t any immediate radio hits off of this album, the rapper comfortably sits on his throne in California. To be one of the most prominent underground rappers in the Bay-area scene is still arguably one of the most sought-after positions in the rap game. Keep it locked with ALLBLACK as he continues to rise into mainstream notoriety.
