Adrian Milanio is a quiet 23 year old from Tacoma who has made the most of his opportunities, even through COVID, to launch a promising music career. He gained the confidence to begin making his own music by producing for other artists and he hasn’t looked back since, with over 94,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Resonating strongly with his college-aged peers, Milanio is known for a silky smooth delivery and wide range as a musician. Drawing inspiration from the fun times, young love, and emerging to young adulthood, Adrian Milanio connects with his audience on a personal level.
In 2020 he released his single “Where You Wanna Go,” leading to him signing a deal with London-based label frtyfve records. His fan base continues to provide a solid backing and the growth is following. He now has over 10 million streams on Spotify and TikTok.
More recently, after the huge success of “Where You Wanna Go,” Milanio dropped an album under the same name. The 15-track album tells the story of Adrian Milanio’s perspective on what he has experienced of love and relationships and coming into his own.
Mainly an R&B album, Milanio sprinkles in some other elements with a slew of fire features. On the project, Where You Wanna Go, Milanio goes in about catching a vibe and kicking it with some of the biggest rappers from the bay. He also gets down and dirty, getting more in the cuts and singing of serenading a girl in his dorm room.
The whole album is a work of art. Even more impressive, Milanio coordinated, produced, wrote, and mixed it mostly by himself. He also had a heavy hand in the creative direction and logistics for it making it that much cooler for the project to have reached 1.3 million streams in the first week.
After being co-signed by Ne-Yo, it’s hard to see Milanio going anywhere but up. Maybe even the next XXL freshman to come out of the PNW? Check out his album below and let us know what you think in the comments!
