Taking place on what ravers once dubbed “trancegiving,” the largest trance music festival in the US is making its comeback a little earlier this year on November 19-20. Dreamstate SoCal, put on by Insomniac, is one of the most sought after destinations for fans of trance, progressive, and genre-bending electronic music.
The festival returns bigger than ever before, after skipping the 2020 edition due to the pandemic. Dreamstate returns to its four-stage setup, but this time with a brand new stage too. Titled The Void, this stage will focus on deeper progressive music on day one before switching to a techno-focus on day two.
In addition to The Void, the main stage, called The Dream, will feature the festival’s largest acts. Next is The Vision, which will showcase more experimental and genre-breaking sounds. Lastly, The Sequence is where you’ll find otherworldly psychedelic sounds that may make you forget what planet you’re on.
Dreamstate SoCal Festival
Dreamstate’s roster is stacked with trance legends like Paul Van Dyk, Darude, Astrix, Genix, Solarstone, BT, and more. Alongside these electronic moguls are also tons of rising stars making a name for themselves in the genre. Some of these artists include Krohmata, Billy Gillies, Jorza, and many more. Additionally, Insomniac made sure to book some of the hottest international trance DJs such a WHITENO1SE from Israel, Allen Watts from The Netherlands, and Alpha 9 from Russia.
