Washington D.C. rapper Shy Glizzy is back in the game with newest album Don’t Feed the Sharks, an 18-track album featuring Glizzy Gang and other notable rappers. This album is his first tape since the release of Young Jefe 3 in 2020. Glizzy has released over ten mixtapes over the past decade, along with his 2018 debut studio album titled Fully Loaded. This project featured guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Gunna, Rick Ross, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, peaking at #35 on US Billboard 200. Though Don’t Feed the Sharks doesn’t have as big of features as previous projects, it’s still impressive and the collaborators certainly bring the heat.
Don’t Feed the Sharks by Shy Glizzy
Shy Glizzy’s newest album Don’t Feed the Sharks includes features from all members of DMV based Glizzy Gang. The album also has features from Pressa, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and fellow DC rapper No Savage. The project captures Shy Glizzy and his gang’s upbeat songs and hard beats, with songs speaking about heartbreak, the rap game, life of the streets, and trappin’ at a young age.
There are also a few sentimental tracks on the album such as “Mad Bitches,” “Trackhawk,” “Champagne Dreamin,” and “Money On My Head.” The features on the album come together in a cohesive and harmonic way, especially on the track “Sincerely Gang,” which includes all of the Glizzy Gang members. The songs on the album flow well together and highlight Shy Glizzy’s voice and impactful lyrics.
