Kanye West and Drake Reignite Their Decade Long Beef After Feature On Trippie Redd’s New Album

Kanye West and Drake are beefing once again according to their recent social media activity. On Saturday, West posted a screenshot of text messages before taking it down within the hour. Luckily, many took screenshots of the image even for the sake of simply understanding it.

It appears that Kanye messaged a group chat including fellow G.O.O.D Music rapper Pusha T as well as Drake. Ye threw out a bunch of derogatory names while claiming that Drake would never survive a beef with him. This static is intense, but is it warranted? When did this conflict even begin?

According to Complex, the two rappers were once very cordial and even have a history of collaboration. However, toward the end of the 2010s, both MCs began tweeting about each other as well as dropping music that included a ton of Ye/Drizzy shade.

Pusha T also hopped in on the action, threatening Drake. This boiled over at one point when Drake sent some strongmen to a Pusha show to intimidate him. Many fans assumed this tension subsided within the past year, but clearly Drake and Ye don’t plan on settling this beef.

What Prompted Yeezy to Act Up in the First Place?

On the latest Trippie Redd album, Drake pulls up for a quick feature. While listening through his verse, Drake actually mentions Kanye by name. According to hiphopdx.com, Drizzy states “Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”

Upon hearing this feature, Kanye hopped in a chat with Drake, claiming he isn’t ready for this beef. After posting a screenshot of the conversation with a picture of the Joker, Kanye deleted the post and hasn’t elaborated further. All we know is Kanye might be having his Joker moment.
