Rising New Mexico Artist Kawelo Is Making Waves With New Entrancing Single “Forever”

On Friday, up-and-coming artist Kawelo released his latest single, “Forever.” This new track acts as an expression of the spiritual rebirth of Kawelo; accepting the death of the self and choosing salvation of the new. With its spacey melodies and hard-hitting 808s, “Forever” creates the perfect laid-back vibe.

Issac Padilla, known as “Kawelo,” is an artist from Las Cruces, New Mexico, who’s making waves with his entrancing sound. As a half-Latin and Hawaiian native, Kawelo incorporates his deep-rooted culture into his music. In addition, at 19, he spent 3 months refining his talent at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque before dropping out to pursue his music. Since then, he’s been steadily releasing music and scored features with familiar artists such as The Image on their debut EP “OKAY: An LA Story.”

It’s clear Kawelo’s musical experience and knowledge have allowed him to create and own his sound. Above all, the vibes that Kawelo is able to produce with his deep spiritual writings and warm melodies create something that anyone can connect with. We look forward to seeing more of what Kawelo has coming in 2021.
