Webster’s dictionary basically defines dank as; cannabis with dense trichomes, loud af terpenes, and sticky bud. The Dank Dough Strain by High Tide Cannabis Co. could be the photograph next to this definition.
Although this Gelato-dominant cross was not the experience I expected, I was impressed by the smoke and flavor. This West Coast Weed Tour official review left me feeling very chill, just as the High Tide “Tide Gauge” told me I would.
High Tide Cannabis Co.
High Tide Cannabis Company is based in Tacoma. The Tier 2 i-502 producer launched on December 16th, 2017, branding themselves as a company created by pot snobs for pot snobs.
Their packaging is PNW inspired, featuring fishermen, herons, and octopi. The clever “Tide Gauge” tells consumers if the strain inside is an Indica or Sativa based on a level of Thrill or Chill. For the Dank Dough strain I reviewed, I could look forward to a very chill experience.
Official West Coast Weed Tour Review
The Dank Dough strain packaging is truly beautiful. It is very easy to see the product inside as well as get a clear idea of the strain. The packaging told me to be looking for an Indica experience with kerosene and raspberry cake batter terpenes.
The smell was very strong when I opened the jar, and the flower had a nice cure. I was impressed by the trichome structure as well as the trim job. This Dank Dough strain is a strong Gelato cross, so the smell and look is very Gelato-like.
The smoke was clean and very fruity. I was expecting a little bit of a different profile but was ultimately pleased with the high and the overall experience. I would recommend this strain to Gelato lovers. The Dank Dough was deep and rich in flavor, similar to the Zkittles parent.
I’d love more information from the producer, they don’t have an active website and the Instagram didn’t do justice to the packaging. More information about growing and the brand mission would improve High Tide’s sales in my opinion.
