A new cannabis dispensary has opened its doors in Bellingham. Or rather, a Bellingham favorite has gotten a new look. Once Dancing Gypsies Grass & Glass; Northwest Washington welcomes Trippy Hippie Cannabis Co. and it’s message of inclusivity. True to its roots, Trippy Hippie Cannabis Co. is a different kind of dispensary, for a different type of customer. Calling all eccentric, quirky, unorthodox, nonconformist, free-spirited, and of course, trippy hippies. A new dispensary has all your cannabis needs to match your unique style.
Trippy Hippie Cannabis Co.
Trippy Hippie Cannabis Co. is a family owned & operated Recreational Cannabis shop in the beautiful Sunnyland neighborhood of Bellingham, WA. Owners Jeramy and Yvonne Vaughn spent years curating the menu to ensure guests are buying quality cannabis flower, pre-rolls, concentrates & edibles at a fair price. They take pride in offering a distinct selection of local farms, including Subdued Excitement, Clandestine Gardens, Cascadia Gardens, ZOZ, and Eagle Tree Farms.
Trippy Hippie budtenders are known for being friendly, knowledgeable, and sharing a genuine passion for cannabis in all its glory. They value sharing new strains and product information with guests, building relationships, and sharing a laugh before seeing you on your way.
The Mission
Eclectic decor aside, the ambiance inside Trippy Hippie Cannabis Co. is different.
“The goal is not to be the busiest dispensary in Bellingham. Our goal is to perpetuate cannabis positivity for our customers. From the moment someone walks into the door until they finish their consumption experience, we want them to be comfortable and content. This is why we take a consultative approach to sales,” says manager Erin Lapsansky. “Educating the customer about the products available to ensure they have a good experience is our top priority.”
The name change comes as an acknowledgment of a changing social climate. The T.H.C. team hopes that they set an example for other shops and producers using names with pejorative connotations. One budtender has been looking forward to this name change for some time.
“Now is a time to hone our accountability and recognize the privilege that comes with being white in the cannabis community. The name was never mal-intentioned. but we want to promote inclusivity”, acknowledges the budtender.
