We’ve written about a multitude of Purple Punch cannabis strains. Each one is slightly different from the other. Sometimes there’s a certain creaminess to the nugs. The aromas, appearance, and effects vary from farm-to-farm as well. You would think there would be some continuity between farms, but there isn’t. I’ve learned to judge the quality of the strain by how hard the punch hits me.
Rosebud Growers out of Oregon grows Purple Punch with a strong creamy aroma to it. The combination of smells makes me think of fresh-baked muffins. Hopefully, the punch hits as hard as the smell. The nugs inside the jar feel like soft pillows between my fingers. They’re covered in large splotches of purple that encompass a larger portion of the nug than what I’m used to seeing.
Rosebud Growers might have grown one of the better tasting Purple Punch strains that I’ve had the opportunity to smoke. The punch part might not have hit me as hard as I would have liked, but the flavor profile easily made up for that. After my first bowl keeping my eyelids open became quite the battle. The munchies were the real punch and they hit hard. This cultivar does a proper job at holding up the namesake of the strain.
