Meet CamRus, the next Donald Glover, Cam is a singer, songwriter, screenwriter, dancer, model, actor, and has recently made his directorial debut. At the age of 17 Cam moved to New York to pursue his dream in the entertainment business. Claiming it to be the best decision he’s ever made, it’s hard to argue that with his appearances on Marvel’s Luke Cage and the upcoming Batwoman. Along with his burgeoning acting career, which is the main focus, Cam has also been successful in his modeling music endeavors.
In his song “Chance,” CamRus is singing to the girl of his dreams, asking for the chance to prove they are meant to be together. The song starts off with a keyboard riff that acts as the back bone to the song. Cam’s smooth and melodic vocals come in right away setting the tone of the track with the lyrics “If you gave me a chance/ I bet that we/ would fit together nicely.” After the initial chorus, the song begins building, until finally the bass line drops into a fun, pop-inspired, beat.
