When you come from a rough place, hard work is the only way to make it to the top. This much is true of rising star Compton Av who’s been putting up undeniable numbers. With his two hot singles “Run Me My Money,” and “Money Dance” he’s been creating a wave for his personal brand and sound that’s gotten him an ample following.
Compton Av doesn’t take any shortcuts when it comes to promoting shows, rehearsing, building his fan-base, or learning the business-side of music. Together with his unshakeable team, they go the extra mile to seek out and breed success.
With his two hot singles, he took an interesting route by creating original dances for each. By utilizing social media Compton Av has been able to captivate younger audiences with “dance challenges.” As a representative of his home, Compton, Av seeks to spread his musical influence globally.
You may already be familiar with Av from his collaborations with the late great Nipsey Hussle. He also has been on tracks with the likes of French Montana, Snoop, The Game, YG, Iamsu, Problem, E-40, and Too $hort. Av is a firm representation of the streets of both Compton and the west coast, and he definitely has the credentials to prove it.
“Money Dance Challenge”
Av’s “Money Dance” single hit the streets with serious force. The kind of force that sparked a collaboration with dance phenomenon Matt Steffani. From this the “Money Dance Challenge,” was born, making hundreds of Youtube videos sprout up. Many of these videos circling ran up views in the millions. This smart move set Av on the right course for the kind of exposure he’s continuing to get. These are the kind of cross-promotional efforts that are going to get this man a viral-hit sooner than later; I’d bet money on it.
Compton Av Ft. OT Genasis – “Let Em Hate” (Official Video)
Two days ago Compton Av came back with another decisive visual for his single with OT Genasis called “Let Em Hate.” Already well over 33k streams, the song is a toast to the west coast and the success Av has built. Coming in on a classic instrumental featuring the notorious Bay-Area bounce on the drums, Compton Av flexes on anyone that has, or continues to hate on his hustle.
OT Genasis slides in riding shotgun on the beat, offering a heavy cadence of bars that solidify the track nicely. Yet another firm affirmation of the hit-making abilities Compton Av has when it comes to penning anthemic songs about the streets.
