Seattle native, Geechi, has been making waves in the area. With a distinctive style and flow, the young up-and-coming rapper has been pushing his way into the scene.
Coming off of his previous release “They Know” with very positive results, Geechi continues to carve a name for himself. As he improves his sound with more practice it seems as if he’s becoming more and more comfortable with his position as a musician.
Heavily inspired by drug culture, Geechi’s newest music video, “Flawless,” is a step in the right artistic direction. Honing in on Seattle’s newest style of pop-trap, many people would compare the young artist’s style to artists the likes of Lil Mosey.
This song takes a slight change from his previous release with a more emotional topic matter. Rhyming about his lifestyle, decisions, and demons, Geechi truly opens himself up to the listener. This vulnerability is something that hip-hop is becoming more and more known for.
The sound of Geechi is a one of a kind experience. With smooth vocals, he lays down on the track with ease. The slightly emotional, “Flawless,” hosts trippy visuals by TownENT. I can honestly say that this video may be my favorite of the year thus far.
Geechi’s “Flawless”
However, “Flawless” is not the only move that Geechi has made recently. It is rumored that the Seattle artist has an upcoming separate collaborations with Son Films and Laza.
Although there’s no definite release date, we can expect for the young Seattle artist to continue making power plays throughout the rest of the year.
