This past year has been a busy one for Washington state rapper Ang P. In the last 9 months Ang P has released a full length LP, two EP’s and multiple videos.
The latest release was for the track, “Sadderday” off of the album, L.I.F.E. – Living In Fear Everyday, which dropped this past March. The song is a journey through “Jordan Sneaker Culture” and focuses on giving the listener an inside look into the thoughts of people involved with the culture itself.
From the kid who just got the call to come pick up his brand new “J’s” and now has to figure out how to come up with the money for them, all the way to the kid playing the block waiting to catch someone slippin’ so he can claim “his” Jordans as well.
The third verse is spoken from the perspective of MJ himself and gives some insight into his thoughts on his sneaker empire. Whether you’re a full blown “Sneakerhead” or someone looking from the outside in, this track does a great job of shedding a light on a subject that is a staple in the urban community.
