July 30th at the End Zone Bar and Grill is the first ever beat battle in Yakima. A city traditionally known for fertile land, a history of gang violence, and being the Palm Springs of Washington, most people don’t know that Yakima also has a history of talented musicians.
For this first beat battle, each artist will face off 1v1 displaying their best productions. Local heavy hitters include M-Status, God Gifted, Olaf, Wolf God, Talent, and myself as M-Pyre. Page Turner and Rocky Glover will also be making a trip over the mountains to join the competition as well.
The ‘Keys To The Yaks’ winner will take home a sweet cash prize but most of all, bragging rights.
The First Ever Yakima Beat Battle
In addition to the battle, there will also be performances by Luther X, T.S The Solution, T.A.Z, Jae.Skey, Decent, O.Z, Mac, and NME. Headlining the event will be Seattle’s own Feezable The Germ and DJ Dom will be doing mad work as the house DJ and host.
The judges for the evening will be Antoine ‘HayDay’ Hayden, Prezwell Jackson (True Indy Management), and JB Guilty (NGA Radio).

In preparation for the battle, the homies at Panoramic Dreams did a face-off between two of the battle’s favorites, M-Status and God Gifted. The host of the battle asked the two producers their thoughts on the event, and their history coming up in the same city.
M-Status is a recognized name for production, rapping, and singing in the area while God Gifted seems like he is leading the pack for the next generation of producers in the Yakima area.
