PIVE Comes Full Circle With New Album “Forever I Will Be”

PIVE Delivers 10-Track Album “Forever I Will Be” Alongside Official Music Video for “Old Days”

Years of putting his life into music have brought PIVE back to a familiar phrase, only this time from a different perspective. The rapper, based in Spokane, Washington, recently released his new album Forever I Will Be, a 10-track project that continues a story that has followed Ryan Mullane, better known as PIVE, throughout much of his career.

Released on September 25 through Forever Be Records, the album arrives more than five years after PIVE introduced listeners to his debut album, I Will Forever Be, in 2021. He continued the series with I Will Forever Be Act 2 in 2022 and I Will Forever Be Act 3 in 2023 before releasing Dreamer in 2025.

Now, Forever I Will Be reverses those familiar words for a new project built around PIVE as he is today.

PIVE Releases New Album: Forever I Will Be

At just under 30 minutes, Forever I Will Be is a tight 10 track project that puts PIVE’s lyricism and storytelling at the forefront. The production stays on point throughout, with beats that complement his delivery without overpowering what he is trying to say.

Lyrically, PIVE sounds confident and comfortable throughout the record. His writing shows a noticeable amount of reflection, but the album doesn’t stay locked into one mood. Tracks move between more personal moments and records with enough energy to keep the project from becoming repetitive.

That balance is one of the album’s strengths. The production changes enough from song to song to give each track its own identity, while PIVE’s voice keeps everything connected. His delivery feels natural over the different beats, and the lyrics remain clear enough that the stories and messages behind the songs don’t get lost in the production.

From “Roll With It” as more of an upbeat record all the way through to the closing “Play My Game,” there’s little wasted space.

Forever I Will Be gets in, makes its point, and ends before the 30-minute mark. The beats fit each track’s message, the writing feels personal, and PIVE sounds like an artist who knows exactly what type of records he wanted to make. For listeners who appreciate hip hop where production and lyricism are given equal attention, Forever I Will Be delivers a strong balance of both.

“Old Days” Music Video Also Released With The Album

Alongside the album, PIVE has also released an official music video for “Old Days,” one of the project’s most reflective moments and a fitting introduction to an album that frequently looks at where he has been, where he is now, and what it took to continue moving forward.

“Old Days” stands out in that regard. The track leans into PIVE’s reflective side and feels especially fitting on an album that already connects to an earlier period of his career. The record’s authenticity makes the nostalgia feel personal rather than forced.Sitting at track five, “Old Days” is one of the songs that most directly fits the larger story surrounding Forever I Will Be.

Produced by Freek Van Workum, the 3:24 track gives PIVE room to look backward while continuing to push his story forward. That reflective side of his writing isn’t necessarily new.

PIVE has spent years incorporating his experiences into his music instead of separating the person behind the microphone from the artist listeners hear on a record.

That approach also carries into the official “Old Days” music video.

Rather than positioning the track as a standalone release disconnected from the album, “Old Days” works naturally within a project whose title itself reaches back to one of the earliest major chapters of PIVE’s catalog.

From I Will Forever Be To Forever I Will Be

For longtime PIVE listeners, the new album title immediately stands out. Back in 2021, Respect My Region covered the Spokane rapper ahead of the release of his debut album, I Will Forever Be. At the time, PIVE was already more than two decades removed from when he first began rapping at 10 years old.

That early RMR coverage highlighted an artist rooted in Spokane with an appreciation for storytelling, organic instrumentation, classic hip-hop influences, and writing that could move between confidence and more personal subject matter. The story continued in 2022.

PIVE followed his debut with I Will Forever Be Act 2, expanding the series to 12 tracks and bringing in Rose the Mermaid, Dubbygotbars, Stillmarka, and Strange Music artist Jehry Robinson.

That album also showed how personal PIVE was willing to get with his music. “Father Figure,” for example, was dedicated to his father following his passing in 2022, with its accompanying video incorporating photos and footage of the two together.

PIVE continued that run with I Will Forever Be Act 3, released October 6, 2023. The 12-track album included “Level Up,” “Follow Our Souls,” and “Lost My Glow,” adding another chapter to the series that began with his debut.

Dreamer followed in 2025.

That history gives Forever I Will Be a fuller context: the reversed title reaches back to a phrase carried across three earlier albums, while the new songs bring listeners into his life today. The wording may have changed, but the connection to PIVE’s past is impossible to overlook.

Without PIVE directly explaining the meaning behind that reversal, it would be a stretch to assign a specific interpretation. What is clear is that the phrase has remained attached to his music across multiple stages of his career.

PIVE Has Continued Building From Spokane

PIVE’s story has always carried an independent element. RMR’s previous coverage followed an artist who was balancing everyday life with the amount of work required to seriously pursue music. In an earlier interview cited by RMR, Mullane described working 40 hours a week while still spending his remaining time writing, recording, and improving his music.

He was doing it at the time without a label or management structure behind him, yet he persisted and continued working, growing, and improving his craft.

Years later, there is something fitting about seeing Forever I Will Be released under Forever Be Records. PIVE has continued releasing music while maintaining the Spokane connection that has followed him since RMR first covered his work. Instead of abandoning the foundation of those earlier records, his newest project brings that history back into the conversation.

The album title alone creates a direct line between 2021 and 2026.

PIVE Comes Full Circle With New Album “Forever I Will Be”

Forever I Will Be Tracklist and Breakdown

1. “Roll With It”

“Roll With It” opens Forever I Will Be on an upbeat note, giving PIVE an energetic starting point before the album moves into more personal territory. It’s an accessible introduction to the project, putting some movement into the opening stretch and establishing that this album has more than one mood. That placement works well, especially with the storytelling of “Soul Of A Broken Man” coming next.

2. “Soul Of A Broken Man”

“Soul Of A Broken Man” brings the focus closer to PIVE’s life. His writing takes a storytelling approach here, giving his experiences more room than a constant run of bars and punchlines would allow. The draw is following his story and hearing what he chooses to share.

Coming second, the track introduces the album’s personal side early. “Roll With It” gets things moving, but “Soul Of A Broken Man” gives listeners a reason to pay closer attention to the person behind the music.

3. “Sway”

“Sway” brings a cool West Coast feel as PIVE raps about his grind. There’s an easygoing quality to the beat that works with the subject matter, making a song about putting in the hours feel like something you can ride and plot moves to.

The choruses are a highlight, adding a catchy, vibey element between the verses. Following “Soul Of A Broken Man,” “Sway” changes the mood without losing the connection to PIVE’s life. This time, the emphasis is on the work.

4. “The Drop”

“The Drop” takes things into darker territory with a creepy beat, multiple voices, and plenty of bars. It has a Strange Music feel in its atmosphere and approach, with the production giving the rappers an unsettling backdrop to work over.

Where “Sway” settles into a relaxed groove, “The Drop” puts the verses front and center. The different voices add variety to the record, making it a change of pace within the opening half of the album. It also sets up a sharp transition into the more reflective “Old Days.”

5. “Old Days”

“Old Days” is one of the album’s more personal records, with PIVE looking back on his life through storytelling. Like “Soul Of A Broken Man,” its appeal comes from the experiences behind the writing and the way he shares them.

The song fits naturally on a project that already reaches back to his earlier work through its title. At the midpoint of Forever I Will Be, “Old Days” gives that connection a more personal dimension. Its accompanying official music video also makes it an entry point for listeners discovering the album.

6. “Down This Road”

“Down This Road” follows “Old Days” at track six, carrying the album into its second half. Nick Nash is credited with the beat, adding another producer to a project that draws from several different collaborators. Its placement puts it between the personal reflection of “Old Days” and the brighter, island-influenced sound of “All I Do.”

7. “All I Do”

“All I Do” is a little bop, with steel drums giving the production a bright island feel. It recalls that early-2000s meeting point between rap and R&B, when melodic records could slide easily into a hip-hop playlist.

That sound gives the song its own identity within Forever I Will Be. The steel drums are a standout detail, bringing some warmth and bounce to the second half of the album. It’s an easy track to settle into and a welcome addition to the project’s range.

8. “Real Ones 3”

“Real Ones 3” continues a series that longtime PIVE listeners will recognize. The original “Real Ones” arrived in 2022, followed by “Real Ones 2” in 2024. The second installment later appeared on his 2025 album Dreamer, giving this third entry a connection to multiple stages of his catalog.

The earlier songs explored loss, friendships, and the people connected to his upbringing in Spokane. That background adds context to the title’s return here. Alongside the album’s reversal of I Will Forever Be, “Real Ones 3” gives returning listeners another familiar thread to follow.

9. “Former Self”

“Former Self” takes PIVE’s storytelling back to the beginning, with his verses tracing his life from birth through 2010. The chronological approach gives listeners a stretch of his history to follow, making this one of the album’s more direct opportunities to learn about his life.

A standout vocal passage gives the production its character before PIVE comes in with his story. The title fits the perspective of the writing, as he revisits an earlier version of himself near the end of the project. An accompanying lyric video gives listeners another way to follow the details as he moves through those years.

10. “Play My Game”

“Play My Game” closes the album with Auto-Tune coming in right away as PIVE moves between flowing, rapping, and singing. He talks about his life, making music, and working hard, bringing a confident energy to the final track.

The melodic approach changes the feel after “Former Self,” shifting from a chronological look backward to a celebration of what he does. PIVE sounds focused on keeping his music moving, making “Play My Game” a fitting finish to an album that spends time with both his history and his ongoing grind.

For PIVE, the journey now stretches from I Will Forever Be through Act 2 and Act 3, into Dreamer, and forward to Forever I Will Be. The familiar wording connects his newest release to the catalog he has spent years building.

“Old Days” gives listeners an opportunity to look backward with him, while the rest of the album shows where that journey has taken the Spokane rapper in 2026.

Forever I Will Be is available now across major streaming platforms.
