Respect My Region is collaborating with Catalyst’s Hawthorne dispensary and consumption lounge and stepping into NBA All Star Weekend with a four-day run of cannabis, culture, comedy, and basketball. Together, RMR and Catalyst are turning the Catalyst Hawthorne consumption lounge into a consistent gathering point during one of the biggest weekends Los Angeles will see this year.
Beginning Thursday, February 12th and running through Sunday night February 15th, the Catalyst All Star Weekend Series brings together trusted cannabis brands, the local community, and live programming that reflects the crossover between basketball culture and California cannabis.
Catalyst All Star Weekend 2026: Presented by Respect My Region
The series opens on Thursday, February 12 with Catalyst Hawthorne’s weekly event series, Terp Social. This is one of Southern California’s only weekly cannabis networking and tasting events.
This particular evening is in collaboration with one of California’s top cannabis companies, Cannabiotix.
Terp Social events are known for pulling together Catalyst customers, local budtenders from the Catalyst locations as well as other dispensaries across Southern California. The February 12th event is the unofficial pregame for cannabis lovers for All Star Weekend.
Friday, February 13th, the focus becomes the first ever Catalyst All Star Showcase, presented by RMR, and in collaboration with Catalyst, Sunset Connect and West Coast Cure so far.
The Catalyst All Star showcase highlights brands and partners actively shaping the cannabis landscape, with Sunset Connect and West Coast Cure representing two modern California brands built on legacy roots. The All Star Showcase acts as a bridge between industry networking and the broader All Star Weekend energy flowing through the city, offering a space where culture and cannabis overlap naturally.
Saturday is February 14 which means Valentines Day officially lands right smack in the middle of All Star Weekend for the NBA. This is great because Los Angeles is a great place for dates and the programming at Catalyst pivots into live entertainment with the first ever Joint Effort Comedy Show inside the lounge.

Hosted by respected comedian and host, Brinan Weeks, the show features a four comedian lineup including Elias Zepeda, Tatyana Guchi, Ed Greer, and Andrew Orofolo. The Joint Effort Comedy Show is new, but these comedians have worked relentlessly to become recognizable faces within Los Angeles comedy culture. The talent level is high, the jokes will be flowing, and pairing stand up comedy with a relaxed lounge environment that allows performers to connect directly with the audience and smoke weed will be memorable in it’s own way.
The February 14th Joint Effort Comedy Show begins at 6:00 PM and is powered by Muha Meds as the official brand sponsor for the night. The usual lounge hours of operation for Saturdays are 2pm to 9pm. For this particular day, hours do stay the same with the doors open to the space at 2pm, however, the brand takeover starts at 4pm, and the comedy show begins at 6pm. Entry is 21 plus with valid ID and proof of purchase is required at the dispensary.
The weekend closes on Sunday with the NBA All Star Game Watch Party, in collaboration with Basketball Watch Club and sponsored by Sunset Connect.
The event transforms the lounge into a communal viewing space for one of the most watched games of the year, the NBA All Star Game, bringing together basketball fans, creatives, and cannabis consumers in a shared environment.
Although a relatively newer entity, Basketball Watch Club continues to build its presence through in person gatherings that emphasize community and shared experience. We encourage you to follow them on Instagram and Threads, and to also subscribe to their newsletter.
The watch party serves as a natural close to the series, offering a place to watch the game, connect with familiar faces, and decompress after four straight days of programming tied to All Star Weekend.
Taken together, the Catalyst All Star Weekend Series reflects a broader shift in how cannabis lounges are being used in Los Angeles. Rather than operating as isolated retail spaces, lounges like Catalyst are becoming cultural venues that host live entertainment, community driven events, and collaborative programming that mirrors the city around them. By aligning cannabis, comedy, networking, and basketball under one roof, the All Star Weekend series positions Catalyst as an active participant in the weekend’s cultural footprint rather than a passive backdrop.
From Terp Social and Cannabiotix opening the week, to brand showcases with Sunset Connect and West Coast Cure, to live stand up comedy powered by Muha Meds, and a closing night watch party with Basketball Watch Club, the four day run offers a different experience each night while maintaining a consistent throughline. It is built around people showing up, staying awhile, and engaging with the space beyond a single moment.
As NBA All Star Weekend takes over Los Angeles, the Catalyst All Star Weekend Series stands out as a grounded, community focused run of events rooted in cannabis culture and the realities of the city hosting it.
