Social media has made it so that everyone can have a voice. People have taken this opportunity to post about what they love, and some have made a huge following from this.
One of these people is Madyson Eisen, who is entering her senior year at Penn State this year. She has accumulated 31.9 thousand followers on X, formerly known as Twitter and 19.5 thousand followers on Instagram through following the sports teams she loves. Is there a secret to success in the social media world? The only way to figure it out is to ask.
Madyson Eisen’s rise on social media
Figures on social media generally start from posting their passions. However, these passions need to come from somewhere. A lot of people find their passions early in life from their parents. Madyson Eisen is no exception.
“My father is a huge sports fan,” Eisen said “It’s a big part of my family.”
Once you have a passion, you need to be able to make posts. A lot of people have creative ideas, but they sometimes don’t act on them. This can be for a variety of reasons, whether it be due to social anxiety, lack of time or a learning curve. Sometimes you need a push to make your first post.
“I got bored during 2020 (Covid),” Eisen said “I started posting sports TikToks and blew up.”
Madyson Eisen has had a chance to interview many notable names on the Yankees. Some examples include Bernie Williams, Aaron Boone, John Sterling and Oswaldo Cabrera. She hasn’t even needed special access for all of these events. The Interviews with Sterling and Cabrera were done at events where anyone could pay for admission and get in.

“I make myself stand out by interviewing as many influential people as I can.” Eisen said
If you wish to build up your brand on social media, finding great people to interview is a key factor. Following schedules for public events to see if anyone will be there can be a great way to get your foot in the door.
Madyson Eisen also mentioned being “super natural” in your content as a key to success. Everyone has something unique to bring to the table. Your personality may help fill a gap in content that currently isn’t on social media. This is especially true in the sports world where everyone has an opinion.
Madyson Eisen future
Social media can give people a huge leap in their career. However, this can come at a price. Putting yourself out into the social media world exposes you to the worst mankind has to offer.
“There are also people who always have negative things to say no matter what I post,” Eisen said “but I’ve learned to block them out.”
It’s important to remember you’re posting to your followers, not the people who don’t like you. That’s why it’s important to be yourself. If you build a fanbase of people who like you for who you are it doesn’t matter what other people think. People who try to be negative can be put away with a simple click of the mute or block button.

With all the negativity, it can be hard to want to continue on social media. However, Madyson Eisen doesn’t let the negative get in her way.
“Social media will always be a part of my life,” Eisen said “When I’m way older I’m not sure how things will change but that’s the plan for now.”
As Madyson Eisen heads into the future, many things need to be put into consideration. As fun as posting on social media can be, if you wish to pursue this as a career many things must be taken into consideration.
“I pay attention to the numbers a lot now,” Eisen said “I am going to be a senior in college, the numbers help me grow and make money since I’m turning developing this into a career.”
As important as looking at your numbers is, it can’t be everything. It’s important to remember it’s people, not numbers, on the other end.
“I try not to look at them (numbers) every day though,” Eisen said “because that’s not what life is all about.”
Although Madyson Eisen hopes to keep doing social media, she has other long term goals as well.
“I want to continue to grow on social media,” Eisen said “hopefully that will lead me to creating my own show some day.”
