Clementine Creevy has had her feet firmly fixed to the ground for a decade now. A rockstar by definition, she remains within arm’s reach despite churning out music with an extraterrestrial presence. At just 26, she has performed with the Pixies, played to massive audiences around the world and generated millions of streams.
Yet, she’s still one of us.
Before and after Cherry Glazerr took the stage at Little Secret in Los Angeles last month, she was among her own audience. Artists who’re able to bridge the gap between them and their supports tend to retain a longevity in the creative space primarily because they humanize the experience they bring to the table. When Creevy, Tabor Allen and Sami Perez went on, it felt like they were playing to each and every one of the people in the crowd rather than a group of faceless spectators.

Of course, this might not always be the case when the group sets out on their North American tour next year, but there’s something to be said about people who stay in touch with their listeners. For one, the music is characterized by an awareness that immediately stands out.
Cherry Glazerr has a distinct brand that has only gained momentum, that too without losing the spark that first set them aflame. Not many acts can claim that a decade into their careers. That alone is a reason to try and catch them in 2024.

Earlier this year, the three-piece released their fourth full-length studio album. Electrifying and sharp but still a little rough around the edges, I Don’t Want You Anymore encapsulates Creevy’s noisy tenderness.
Hers is a product that’s tough to go back on, so whenever you set aside the time to either listen to the new record or witness the group live, just know that you’ll be in it for the long haul.
