The weekend of June 9-11, Governors Ball 2023 will be held in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, NYC. There will be three stages and over sixty artists performing. The acts are from a range of genres with a heavy emphasis on hip-hop and rap artists. It should be an amazing weekend. Originally launched in 2011, The Governors Ball Music Festival, also known as Gov Ball, was founded by Jordan Walowitz, Tom Russell, and Yoni Reisman. The attendance for the festival is around 150,000 people, making it one of the biggest festivals in the United States. The festival features many of the biggest artists in the world, as well as many New York City restaurants, food trucks, and some great activities and games. The festival has become a staple of summertime in NYC.
Lineup
The lineup for this year’s festival is completely stacked with some of RMR’s favorite hip-hop artists. There will also be performances from many great artists from other musical genres. This year features performances from Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Ice Spice, Lil Nas X, Lil Baby and Lil Uzi Vert. Lizzo will be the headliner for Friday, Odesza will be the headliner for Saturday and Kendrick Lamar will be the headliner for Sunday. It will be a weekend of amazing music.
Tickets
Tickets are still available on the Gov Ball website, for General Admission, General Admission Plus, VIP, Platinum and Cabanas. VIP tickets include premium viewing of the artists as well as lounges by each stage (21+). Platinum tickets include front-of-stage viewing at all three stages as well as complimentary dining. Cabanas tickets include premier hospitality and main stage viewing. There is still plenty of time to get tickets before the weekend kicks off.

Food and Drink Vendors
As previously mentioned, some of the best restaurants and food trucks in NYC will be vendors for Gov Ball this year. Some of the standout food vendors are Luke’s Lobster, Try Vegan, and Roberta’s Pizza. Chateau Ste. Michelle will be the wine sponsor of Gov Ball and there will be a new Chateau Lounge. It will include various kinds of wine. There will also be a ton of other cool activities set up around the area from various different sponsors and vendors.
