Fivio Foreign Teases New Track with Ye Despite The Latter’s Controversial Behavior

Fivio Foreign has officially joined the club of public figures who are unphased by Ye’s disturbing behavior over the past year. The New York rapper recently gave his Instagram followers a peek at an upcoming collaboration he has with the artist formerly known as Kanye West. In that same post, he shows off a framed letter for the Grammy nomination he earned for working on Ye’s 2021 album, Donda.

Though a seemingly audacious move on Foreign’s part, continuing to associate with Ye isn’t the career suicide most people might think it is. Despite the disgraced musician and designer’s blatant anti-Semitism, high-profile artists such as Jay Electronica and J. Cole have shown him love recently. Even as Ye’s reputation continues to worsen with more negative reports still coming out, he continues to be an asset in the music space.

The above snippet might sound harmless considering it involves both artists doing what they’re know best for, but it has larger implications. “Everyone know it/And I’m not, no I’m not going/Everyone knows it,” chants Ye right before Foreign takes over spitting. A regular hip-hop joint on the surface, this partnership is just another example of Ye casually making his way back into the public domain after a PR shitstorm.

Foreign and Ye previously worked together on two songs Off Donda: “Off the Grid” and “Ok Ok.” They then joined forces on “We Did It Kid” with Migos and Baby Keem for Donda 2’s exclusive Stem Player release. In between both projects, Ye and Alicia Keys were featured on Foreign’s hit single, “City of Gods.”

The Ye saga never seems to end, and it’s largely because of the support he receives from major public figures. Does this enable his bizarre behavior or remedy it? Stay tuned to find out because we’re certainly not done hearing from him.
