3oh Black is arguably the biggest upcoming artist out of the DMV-Area this year. In addition to co-signs by rappers in the game like Rico Nasty, Three Ohh has now linked with Lil Baby on “Mud.”
The single arrives as apart of the rollout of 3oh Black’s debut project Who Want It. Three Ohh previously joined forces with Moneybag Yo on the electric lead single, “Hollup.” With ease he and Baby elevate the nergy on “Mud” with ferocious verses. As both Lil Baby and 3oh Black going back-to-back in the booth, this record ends up being a literal punchline punching bag. Three Ohh even joked about their lyrical sparring on Twitter.
“Mud” is easily one of the most appealing bangers on 3oh Black’s project. For starters, Three Ohh’s hook work speaks volumes to his consistency. You can hear and feel the lyricism as he raps, “Young nigga turning his life around/ I really got it straight outta the mud/2019 I was wetting up blocks with that draco/ Making it flood.”
The track is good on its own, however, it gets an extra boost off the strength of Lil Baby’s recent vow to halt all features until his album arrives. Following the “Bigger Picture” rapper’s tweets he was “Album mode,” 3oh Black lit the Internet up with purportedly the last Lil Baby verse this year.
3oh Black Caps off Consistent 2020 With ‘Who Want It’ Album
“Mud” arrives embedded in Three Ohh’s latest album Who Want It that features Tay Keith, JG Griff, and 1hunnitDMV. Even with two superstar features, 3oh Black proves how elite his artistry and work ethic is time and time again with this project.
In many ways, Who Want It is Three Ohh’s victory lap for a successful year. For starters, the D.C. native was already coming off the hype of his viral hit “All Talk” which currently sits at six million views on YouTube. Subsequently, he masterfully maintains that pressure throughout the year with tracks like “Drive The Boat” and “Back In The Day.”
